XOXO is a newly launched brand, and just in time for the trade show, it's introducing a game series designed like a TV show. The first season features small, delightful card games for ages 10 and up. Each game stands on its own-so there's no gameplay advantage to be gained from knowing other games in the series. However, there is a deeper understanding of the connections, backstories, and Easter eggs within the overarching, ongoing narrative: In the heart of Tokyo, in an almost forgotten comic and game store called "XOXO's Ludomatic Universe," the characters come to life every evening after the store closes. A quirky bunch of wannabe superheroes: Manni, the frustrated lucky cat; Kim, the office worker with a fear of numbers; Lulu, the demonic leader...

The game instructions begin with a short comic strip to set the mood. Then, players slip into the roles of Manni, Kim etc. and take a deep dive into XOXO's Ludomatic Uni-verse. The characters reappear across episodes and continue to evolve-for better or for worse. And as befits a proper series, there's also a little cliffhanger at the end of the Instructions. XOXO plays with contrasts: loud and colorful, dark and whimsical.
