The DEUTSCHE SPIELE PREIS (DSP) is an award by gamers for gamers and the largest community award in Germany. In two categories - family and adult games as well as children's games - the entire German speaking games community chooses their most popular games from the multitude of titles published in one year’s issues, one of which wins the DSP and one the DSP Best Children's Game. The award is presented at SPIEL Essen.
 

The Top 10 of the Deutscher Spiele Preis – family- and adults games

Places 1 – 3 (in alphabetical order)

Dorfromantik (Michael Palm and Lukas Zach, Pegasus Spiele)

Heat (Asgar Harding Granerud and Daniel Skjold Pedersen, Days of Wonder/Asmodee)

Planet Unknown (Ryan Lambert and Adam Rehberg, Strohmann Games)

These places are only announced in alphabetical order. At the SPIEL Essen press conference and the subsequent novelty show, places 1 to 3 will be awarded and the winner of the German Games Award 2023 in the family and adult games category will be announced.
