The winners of the "Spiel des Jahres 2025" were announced in Berlin
We were there live on Sunday, July 13, 2025, in Berlin, as the prestigious "Spiel des Jahres" awards were presented, and we had a fantastic evening! The tension in the hall was palpable as the "Spiel des Jahres" jury announced the eagerly awaited winners in all three categories. It was an evening that once again celebrated the innovative power and enthusiasm for board games!
The event was a great success and a real joy: Maren Hoffmann and Manuel Fritsch from the jury charmingly, entertainingly, and informatively guided us through the enjoyable evening as the moderating duo. Numerous personalities from the national and international gaming world made their way to Berlin and, in some cases, onto the stage. For example, Pénélope, a jury member of the French game award "As d'Or," and Jürgen Herz, a founding member of "Spiel des Jahres e.V.," unveiled the winners of two categories. This strongly highlighted the history and international significance of the award.
